SLAUGHTER & APPARATUS : A METHODICAL OVERTURE
Les belges d'Aborted sont de retour, deux ans après l'excellent «The Archaic Abattoir», un album varié et plus mélodique que ce que nous avions l'habitude d'entendre de la part du groupe. Enregistré aux Antfarm Studios avec le producteur Tue Madsen (The Haunted) et bénéficiant de la participation au chant de Jeff Walker (ex-Carcass) et de Jacob Bredhal (Hatesphere), "Slaughter & apparatus : a methodical overture", est un album soigné, sur lequel Aborted poursuit son évolution. L'une des sorties majeure de cette année.

1995 => Formation du groupe belge Aborted par le chanteur Sven De Caluwe.
1997 - 2001 => Le groupe enregistre de nombreux albums, notamment : The Necrotorous Chronicles demo (1997), The Purity of Perversion (1999), et Engineering The Dead (2001).
2002 => En janvier, le groupe contribue à un slit cd avec Misery Index, Brodequin et Drowning, intitulé Created to kill.
2003 => Sortie de Engineering the Dead, un album plus mélodique que les précédents et influencé par Carcass.
Aborted part en tournée en compagnie de Cannibal Corpse et de Kataklysm.
2005 => Sortie de The Archaic Abattoir.
2007 => Sortie le 17 février de "Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture".

Deux ans après "The archaic abattoir", Aborted revient avec un album brutal et maîtrisé. Les riffs sont incisifs, les solis mélodiques et techniques, les rythmes puissants et variés (le jeu de David est incroyable), le chant, alternant voix death / hurlées est excellent. Ajoutons à cela la participation de Jeff Walker, Jacob Bedhal et de Henrik Jacobsen, une production quasi-parfaite, un artwork soigné et on obtient l'un des meilleurs albums de ce début d'année 2007.

"The archaic abattoir" est un album extrêmement brutal et gore mais dont les compositions laissent parfois à place à quelques incursions plus mélodiques. Aborted renouvelle ainsi un peu sa musique, ose, pour un résultat direct, barbare, technique. Un album qui ravira la plupart des fans de brutal death.

Amis barbares, cet album est pour vous ! En effet, Aborted nous propose avec "The saw and the carnage done" un brutal death violent, énergique allié à un death plus classique (rappelant parfois le mythique groupe Death) et mélodique. Les titres s'enchaînent à toute vitesse et ne laissent aucun répit. Un excellent album maîtrisé, dense et technique.
